I've been seeing Dr. Winters for 20 years. I always run into people in several areas of Los Angeles who also see Dr. Winters. He's a very beloved doctor. I call him the "James Herriot" of Beverly Hills. He's one of a kind.

For over 20 years my vet has cared for my cats like they belonged only to him. The compassion, knowledge and honesty shown by John and his partners is beyond words. Last week he helped us through the death from cancer of our beautiful Girl Cat. John was like having your parent, your best friend, your family at your side. If he were an MD I would trust him with my life. This privately owned clinic is man's best friend and a pet's best chance for long nad healthy life. When I met my husband, the BHSAH was part of his gift to us. His cat had been a patient there and my two boys joined him. I love Ford Suehiro - his partner, his staff especially Melanie Bellomo and his entire crew. In the middle of Beverly Hills this is a clinic with very solid and sincere values and treatment. In good times and in sad times, they have never let us down.

For thirty years, Dr. Winters has treated my dogs. He is gentle, understanding and calming. I have asked him in the past, if I bark will you be my doctor. He returns phone calls very promptly and his voice alone reassures me that all will be well one way or another. None of my dogs were afraid of going to the vet, and I believe it is Dr. Winters' gentle voice and manner that they too feel comfortable. If there is a problem which requires a specialist, he is the first to recommend one. He never gives unnecesary tests. At one point, with my dog Willow, knowing how upset I was with her condition (due to old age), he gave me his home number if I needed him.He treats each animal with respect. Because of his demeanor, I never feel uncomfortable asking him questions and never feel that he is hurried to answer my questions.Although, he is extremely busy with patients, he never rushes anyone.
